How I check a supplier
You can order just the first stage or the whole chain, from search to shipment.
Online search and calls
I look for companies, find addresses and phone numbers, call in Thai and set up meetings. Those who answer and are ready to meet come first.
On-site visit
I go to the office or factory to see whether the company is really at that address. I check the registration details, documents and a sample contract.
Samples
I check samples of the paper or other goods and can post them to you straight away.
Port inspection
Before shipment I go to the port and check the cargo so nothing foreign is added to the batch. I help keep the export and supply chain in order.
How it works: A4 paper as an example
A4 paper has been my most common request for over 10 years. I have been to Double A’s head office and factory many times, to SCG and to several smaller mills, and a few years ago I supported paper deals as the client’s business partner.
How the check goes
- The client sends supplier offers or asks me to find manufacturers
- I find contacts, call them and set up meetings, starting with those who answer
- I go on site: is there an office or warehouse, and do the company details match the documents
- I take paper samples and, if needed, post them to the client
- Before loading, I check the batch at the port
Why check even a real supplier
- The company may exist, but the seller may turn out to be a middleman using its name
- Samples and the actual batch can differ in quality
- Extra or someone else’s goods can be added to the batch
- You decide whether to buy; I give you the facts, photos and videos
How much a supplier check in Thailand costs
You pay only for the stages you need. I agree the scope with you before starting.

All prices include 7% VAT. “From” prices are starting prices; I confirm the exact fee in writing before payment. Government fees, transport and third-party services are extra.
Outside Bangkok: a full day minimum plus travel and accommodation; travel time counts as working time. Payment: PromptPay, bank transfer in Thailand or SWIFT from abroad.

A factory visit or a cargo check at the port is a full day, 11,900 ฿, plus travel. A separate trip for samples is half a day, 6,490 ฿. I agree the scope with you before starting.
Can we work together if I'm not in Thailand?
Yes, that's how most clients work with me. I find suppliers, visit factories and send reports with photos and video. We talk by video call at a time that suits you.
How many days does supplier sourcing take?
It depends on the product and how many factories to visit. I estimate the scope once I understand the task and agree it with you before starting.
How do you check a supplier?
I find the company and call, then go to the address to see whether it is really there. I check the registration details, documents and a sample contract, and inspect product samples. A lawyer does the legal review of the contract.
Can you check the cargo before shipment?
Yes. Before loading I come to the port and look at the batch so nothing extra or foreign is added, and I send you photos and videos. This is a full working day, 11,900 ฿, plus travel.
Can you send me samples?
Yes. If samples are handed over on the day of the visit, I post them within that same day and you pay only the postage. If I need to make a separate trip to collect or buy samples and then post them, that is half a day, 6,490 ฿, plus postage.
Do you take a commission from the supplier?
No. I work for you and charge a daily rate, so my interest is getting the best terms for you, not for the supplier.
