Why tyres from Thailand
- Home-grown rubber. Thailand is the world's largest producer of natural rubber, the main raw material for tyres.
- Factories of global brands. The country hosts production of well-known Japanese, European and American brands, as well as major Asian manufacturers.
- Export focus. Many factories ship tyres worldwide and know how to work with foreign buyers.
- Wide range. From scooter tyres to truck tyres, from summer to winter.
What tyres are made in Thailand
Motorcycle and scooter tyres
Tyres and inner tubes for scooters, motorcycles and mopeds. Thailand's two-wheeler market is huge, so the choice of models and sizes is very wide.
Car tyres: summer and all-season
Car tyres in the most popular sizes, including high-speed and quiet models for city driving.
For off-roaders and SUVs
Tyres for pickups, off-roaders and crossovers: road, all-season and off-road.
Truck and bus tyres
Summer and winter tyres for trucks and buses, for long haul and city use.
Winter tyres from Thailand
Yes, tropical Thailand also makes winter tyres, including for export to countries with cold climates. Buyers are often surprised to learn this.
M+S (mud and snow) is the manufacturer's own marking and does not prove any snow testing. The 3PMSF symbol (three-peak mountain snowflake) is used on tyres that have passed a standard snow test. We check your country's winter tyre requirements before buying. Rubber compound, tread pattern and specs are confirmed for each model.
How Thai tyre manufacturers work
In my experience, Thai tyre manufacturers need a particular approach:
- Many manufacturers have offices near Bangkok, in Samut Prakan and around Rangsit, while the factories themselves are also in other provinces.
- First you arrange a meeting by phone, then go to the office for negotiations.
- Wholesale prices are often not quoted up front and may not appear in catalogues at all.
- The manufacturer asks what volume you need and what price you are prepared to pay. In other words, you have to bargain.
I set up the meetings, negotiate in Thai, with or without you, and get the best terms that are realistically achievable.
What to check when buying tyres
| Parameter | What we check |
|---|---|
| Size and ratings | Tyre size, load index and speed rating for your market |
| Production date | From the DOT code on the sidewall: week and year of manufacture. Tyres age even in storage, so buy fresh ones |
| Season | Summer, all-season or winter; for winter tyres, the M+S and 3PMSF markings |
| Brand or own label | A well-known brand, the factory's own brand or production under your label |
| Warranty and defects | Warranty terms and the procedure for replacing defective tyres |
| Container loading | How many tyres fit in a container and whether different sizes can be mixed |
Documents and shipping
On the Thai side you usually need an invoice, a packing list and a certificate of origin. In the buyer's country, tyres go through conformity assessment. For example, in Russia and the EAEU this is under technical regulation TR CU 018/2011. We check other countries' requirements in advance.
Delivery is usually by sea in containers. We work out the loading and route together with the forwarder.

Frequently asked questions
Is it true that Thailand makes winter tyres?
Yes, including for export to countries with cold climates. When buying, we check the markings (M+S, 3PMSF) and the specs of the specific model against your country's requirements.
Can I buy well-known brands directly from the factory?
It depends on the brand and the country. Major brands often work through distributors. I check the current options for your country on request.
Can tyres be made under my own label?
Some manufacturers offer this. Terms and the minimum volume depend on the factory.
What's the minimum order?
Usually one container. Whether different sizes and models can be mixed in one load is discussed with the manufacturer.
Do you only work with Russia?
No. Most requests come from Russia and the CIS, but I work with buyers from many countries; terms are discussed individually.
