Who this article is for

🌍 A salon in your home country

You want the massage to be truly Thai: the same oils, scents, herbal compresses and atmosphere. I help you buy everything in Thailand and ship it to you.

🌴 A salon in Thailand

You need reliable suppliers of consumables at wholesale prices without overpaying resellers. I help you find manufacturers and negotiate in Thai.

What a Thai massage salon needs

Massage oils

The salon's main consumable. Coconut and other plant-based oils with lemongrass, jasmine, frangipani, ginger and coconut scents. Professional sizes (large bottles and canisters) are much cheaper than small bottles.

Herbal compresses

Cloth bundles of Thai herbs, steamed and used during the massage. Good compresses are hard to find outside Thailand.

Scrubs and wraps

Scrubs based on coconut, tamarind, rice, coffee and salt, plus body masks and wraps. Popular treatments that raise the average bill.

Body lotions and creams

Moisturisers after massage and scrub: with coconut, aloe, mango, mangosteen.

Essential oils, diffusers and incense

Scents set the salon's atmosphere from the door: essential oils, aroma lamps, reed diffusers and incense with Thai fragrances.

Scented candles

Beautifully shaped candles with relaxing scents for treatment rooms and reception. They also sell well as souvenirs.

Thai herbal balms

Warming and cooling balms, including the popular green balm. Used during massage and sold to clients at reception.

Clothing, textiles and accessories

Client clothing, therapist uniforms, towels, sarongs, mattresses and pillows, massage sticks, oil bowls and Thai-style decor.

Spa products under your brand

Many Thai manufacturers make oils, scrubs, lotions and candles under the client's brand. For a salon it's an easy way to create its own line and sell it at reception. I help find such factories and compare terms: minimum run, cost, packaging and lead time.

What to check when choosing a supplier

  • Manufacturer or reseller. Shops and resellers often put on their own labels. Their prices are higher and they can't always provide export documents.
  • Professional sizes. Large volumes are cheaper and more convenient for a salon.
  • Consistent scent. For a salon, the formula and scent must stay the same from batch to batch.
  • Shelf life. Taking delivery time and your usage into account.
  • Registration and documents. Thai FDA notification of the product (number on the pack) and documents for your country.
  • How you communicate. Without the right approach Thai companies may reply reluctantly, drag things out or not offer wholesale terms. Knowing the language and local business culture helps here.

Documents and shipping

  • Oils, scrubs and lotions are cosmetics. In Russia and the EAEU they go through conformity assessment under TR CU 009/2011; other countries have their own rules.
  • In some countries herbal balms and compresses may count as medicines or need separate permits. We check in advance.
  • Essential oils and aerosols are restricted by air, so we choose the delivery method with the forwarder.
  • Goods from different suppliers can be consolidated at a warehouse and shipped in one batch.

How I help

  1. Your request. Salon concept, product list, volumes, budget, your own brand or existing brands, destination country.
  2. Finding manufacturers. I find manufacturers, not resellers, and talk to them in Thai.
  3. Samples. I collect and send samples of oils, scrubs and scents so you can choose the best.
  4. Negotiations. Wholesale prices, professional sizes, lead times, private label, payment terms.
  5. Consolidating the order. I check the goods from different suppliers and consolidate them into one batch.
  6. Shipping. Forwarder, customs broker, documents. More about the broker →
