Russian Export Center “Smart Cities” business mission in Bangkok
Task: the Russian Export Center (Made in Russia) business mission to Thailand needed a Thai ⇄ Russian interpreter familiar with IT and smart city topics. Around 20 Russian companies held B2B meetings with Thai partners over two days.
What I did: I was selected by the organizers based on my CV. For two days at the InterContinental Bangkok I interpreted 20–30 minute negotiations: technology, terms of cooperation and next steps.
Weltrade: negotiations, business handover and a trade expo
Task: the head of the international company Weltrade was taking over operations from the Thai manager in Bangkok and needed a Thai ⇄ Russian interpreter for meetings with the local team.
What I did: I interpreted business meetings at a hotel and at the company office, a corporate event with the Thai team, and the company's presence at an industry expo at ICONSIAM.
“It was a real pleasure working with you” — company representative
Binance Thailand launch: interpreting for a client at the event
Task: on 17 March 2024, a crypto event marking the official launch of Binance Thailand took place at The Street Ratchada mall in Bangkok. A client from Russia needed an English-to-Russian interpreter.
What I did: accompanied the client at the event, interpreted from English into Russian and explained what was being discussed and what it meant for him.

Account frozen for 2 years: about 5 million baht
Task: a client from China had her SCB account frozen on the order of provincial police: she had helped an acquaintance exchange money, and a disputed transfer went through her account. For two years the officer didn't respond, and her Thai lawyer couldn't move the case either.
What I did: Through my contacts I arranged a meeting with the officer and went to the police three times, once together with the client. I prepared an explanation letter, translated it and the screenshots into Thai, and interpreted between Thai and English. At the third meeting the officer issued a letter to the bank lifting the freeze. Then came the cyber police and a bank visit together with the client.
“Very professional and prompt.” — client from China

Clients from China: KBank account frozen for 2 years
Task: a couple from China had their account frozen because of a police case. They urgently needed the money but couldn't communicate with the Thai police and bank.
What I did: I accompanied the client to the Bangkok cyber police and interpreted between Thai and Chinese. When the bank kept “not receiving” the notice for weeks, I called the officer myself, set up a call between the bank and police, and got the documents resent.

Student from China: account frozen after a P2P exchange
Task: a student's account was frozen after a P2P baht exchange: one of the transfers turned out to be disputed. The case was handled by Chiang Mai police.
What I did: I prepared the client: document list, bank statements, trade screenshots and answers to police questions, and was honest that there were no guarantees. I accompanied him to the police in Bangkok, and when the documents got “lost” on the way to Chiang Mai, I kept in touch with the officers for weeks.
“My bank is ok. Thank you so much” — client from China

Interpreting at a dental hospital and support through treatment
Task: a client from Russia needed an interpreter for an appointment at a dental hospital in Bangkok: check-up, treatment plan and costs.
What I did: I interpreted the consultation with the doctor and helped sort out the treatment plan and payment. Afterwards I stayed in touch with the clinic myself to arrange the next visit and deposit.
